A talking parrot IS AT ST. PHILIP'S CHURCH

In July, Pinkie, The Talking Parrot, is at St. Philips Church. She will be cared for by staff at the church and will take an active part in church services and other programs. Check the calendar for the times Pinkie will be included in service.

 

A HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA CLASS IS AT PET RESOURCES

814 Westchester Ave, South Bronx / ②⑤ to Prospect Ave

During July the high school drama class will be in residence at Pet Resources.  The student actors, directors and writers will work with the pet shop's staff and customers to develop site-specific performances. Check the calendar for performance times.

 

A PUNJABI TV SHOW IS AT Frank Sinatra School of the Arts

During July, a Punjabi TV Show usually filmed on set at Jus Broadcasting will be filmed on location at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts with members of the staff and students as special guests. The shows will be broadcast on Jus' networks to their 1.5 million viewers. 

 

THE OLDEST SONG IN THE WORLD IS AT JUS BROADCASTING

During July, the oldest song in the world will be interpreted by Bollywood talent under the direction of Jus Broadcasting.

 

A MUSEUM ARTWORK is AT The Institute for the Study of the Ancient World

15 East 84th St, Upper East Side / ④⑤⑥ to 86 St / Hours: Mon-Fri 11am—5pm

A Museum Artwork, "Untitled" (Public Opinion) by Felix Gonzalez-Torres, will be on view at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World throughout July, where it will be interpreted in relation to scholarship about the ancient world. Visit ISAW Monday through Friday, 11am—5pm. Check the calendar for upcoming special lectures and discussions related to the artwork.

 

A CONGREGATION'S CALL TO ACTION IS AT The Guggenheim Museum

In July, the Guggenheim is responding to a call to action written by members of the congregation at St. Philip's Church. The museum is presenting a series of public engagements that relate to the congregation’s appeal to “always be just as ready to listen as you are emboldened to speak out for or against others.” Museum staff invites its visitors to join in open-ended discussions around the question of what roles cultural institutions can play in times of social and political change. Check the calendar for ways to participate.
