A Museum Artwork (and Curator) on Punjabi TV at Jus Broadcasting

Guggenheim Museum Curator Nat Trotman visited Jus Broadcasting to shoot two Punjabi TV shows, Jus Galbat and the The Bikkar Badshah show featuring Jaggi Singh as a comedic corrupt Punjabi police officer. The episodes focused around the work of artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres and his piece “Untitled” (Public Opinion) that is spending the month of June at Jus Broadcasting's headquarters in Astoria, Queens as part of . . . circle through New York.

As part of . . . circle through New York this month Punjabi TV network Jus Broadcasting is shooting episodes of its shows at the St. Philip's Church in Harlem. Watch this episode of their topical show Honestly which asks members of the St. Philip's congregation questions such as: How do you feel about the abuse against minority citizens in America? What's your view of interracial relationships? If African Americans and Indians had a dance-off who would win?

The High School Drama Class Scripts and Performs in an Episode of the Punjabi TV Show Bikar Badshah

In March as part of . . . circle through New York,  a drama class from the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts wrote and acted in an episode of the Bikkar Badshah show featuring Jaggi Singh as a comedic corrupt Punjabi police officer.  The finished episode aired on Jus 24x7.

Join Pinkie the parrot for a special taping of Honestly on Thursday, April 27th!

April 26, 2017

Jus Broadcasting's show Honestly asks guests on the show to be, well, honest. Join a parrot-themed taping of Honestly with a special appearance by Pinkie in the studio! Drop in any time between 5:00-8:00 PM, friends and guests are also welcome. Participants will be interviewed about topics ranging from art to pets to pop culture, for approximately 15-20 minutes, and will get a chance to meet Pinkie. If you'd like to reserve a specific time, send an email to aharsanyi@guggenheim.org.
